0.2.1 INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this Quality Manual is to document and communicate the Quality Management System that has been established and is operating at FOQUS, Inc. and to demonstrate the commitment and conformance to the Q-9001-1994 American National Standard for Quality Systems.

This manual is divided into 20 main sections. Each section conforms to the corresponding section of Q-9001 Standard’ section as appropriate. Those sections that do not apply are identified. The Document Matrix (QF-001) identifies which FOQUS, Inc. procedures address the Q-9001 Standard.

The President is responsible for the contents of the Quality Manual. The policies defined in this Manual and supporting procedures are communicated to all FOQUS, Inc. personnel. All of FOQUS, Inc. personnel are responsible for ongoing compliance with this Quality Manual and the underlying procedures.



The following abbreviations are used throughout this manual:

0.2.2 BACKGROUND AND HISTORY OF FOQUS, INC.

Foqus, Inc has been in operation since 1990. The organization of FOQUS Inc. has developed new and effective ways of the consulting and training processes. The focus of the company is to provide consulting through training of the customer employees to be self sufficient. The company has evolved to multiple product-service lines with the core business direction in quality management systems. Through the years the Foqus, Inc. personnel has provided auditing, consulting and training for ISO-9000 implementation. The management of Foqus, Inc. has built the product-services around the following core beliefs:

- education process has to engage and entertain the individuals in order to be effective
- consulting is a process of training an organization so that it can make it’s own decisions
- a satisfied customer is the reason for our business

In 1999 the company has focused on providing the product-services via the internet. The idea of Grizmo has been in development since 1997. The "Grizmo" was created in 1999 to pioneer the idea of the product-service line as related to the education/consulting/entertainment process.
