4.5 Naming Convention for Foqus, Inc. Documented System

The Purpose of the naming convention for the documented system is to develop a way to group the information so that employees can find the documents they need quickly. It will also help in managing the documentation. The following convention has been selected for documents within our system:

Management System Manual

MSP

Management System Procedures

SMA

Sales, Marketing and Advertising

PIR Public and Internal Relations
LFA Legal, Finance and Accounting
LRD Laboratory, Research and Development
PMF Production, Manufacturing and Facilities
TSS Technical Service and Servicing
MHT Material Handling and Transportation
CSR Customer Service and Relations
ITS
Information Technology and Systems
HSE Health, Safety and Environmental
CIQ Continual Improvement and Quality

All lower level documents are governed by a process/ procedure therefore they start with the procedure acronym and add an acronym for the type of lower level document.

WI- Work Instruction
TL- Template
PF- Process Flow
DB- Data Base
FM- Form


Here is an example of a Management System Procedure number:

MSP-4-2-4.1 4-2-4 indicates the section of the MS Manual and .1 indicates the sequential procedure number within this section.

MSP-WI-4-2-4.1 4-2-4 indicates the section of the MS Manual and .1 indicates the sequential work instruction number within this section.

CIQ-001 Indicates the procedure 1 within Continual Improvement and Quality Department

CIQ-FM-001 Indicates Form 1 within Continual Improvement and Quality Department
